I love Def Poetry Jam. I just wish more spoken word performances were more school appropriate. This is a great example of how a poet can actually bring their poems to life.
I like the poem because it describes his life in school. he used to be one of the truble makers just to get the kids to laugh but he still "cant read." -Himzija Zulanovic
i watched the video and i actually enjoyed. it was a kind of funny how the poet was speaking. i also watched the "dear father" and that poem was very good, too.
I like the book so far its very interesting. I like how it talks about the peoples lives. This book seems like a type of book for our students in H.W Smith school. This book relates to some students lives. I think its a great book. by : Amir Smajlovic
My name is Ms. Constantine. I am very excited to be here at H.W. Smith, and even more excited to begin reading Bronx Masquerade and learning more about you. While reading the novel, we will be exploring issues of identity and stereotyping in our own world. At the end of the novel, we will work to publish our own H.W. Smith Masquerade! This blog will be an area for in depth discussion and poetry and narrative publication. Feel free to post at anytime.
